Ultimate Burn Product Description
Ultimate Burn is a weight loss product designed to promote thermogenesis and increase energy. It is sold by Schwartz Labs, the makers of the Green Stinger ephedra supplement.
This product is targeted to bodybuilders and athletes as part of their “Performance Science” line. It is intended to promote optimal athletic performance and workout intensity, while helping users slim down.
Ultimate Burn is advertised by the manufacturer to promote weight loss by targeting several different mechanisms in the body:
- Control appetite
- Increase thermogenic metabolism
- Enhance physical capability
- Stimulate the thyroid
- Explosive energy
Each serving of Ultimate Burn contains 27 mg of ephedra extract. The manufacturer promotes their product by saying, “Ephedra is back! The most effective weight loss supplement in history could not stay banned for long.”
Note that the type of ephedra used in this product does not contain any ephedrine alkaloids, which makes it legal in the United States. However, ephedrine is the primary component in the ephedra plant extract that supports weight loss.
While other ephedra alkaloids may have some stimulant-like effects, these will be less powerful than those observed when taking ephedrine. For this reason, Schwartz Labs has combined multiple other stimulant ingredients with their ephedra extract in this product.
Potential customers should bear in mind combining Ultimate Burn with a healthy diet and a full workout routine is necessary for optimal results.

According to the manufacturer’s website, “Schwartz Laboratories has left no stone un-turned when it comes to research and development of this next-generation fat burner. Schwartz Laboratories uses the finest pharmaceutical grade nutrients and compounds to bring you this premium-grade product.”
The combination of the above ingredients will no doubt provide the energy and motivation boost that many users are looking for when taking diet pills. This product is also designed to increase thermogenesis and resting metabolism.
While the main reason for using this product is to stimulate the Central Nervous System so you burn more calories and fat, there is also a risk of serious side effects. Excess stimulant use can cause dangerous long-term side effects.
How Does It Work?
How does the Ultimate Burn dietary supplement actually work to promote weight loss? This product is designed to increase the rate at which your body converts stored energy into heat through a process known as thermogenesis.
When glucose (blood sugar) and lipids (fat tissue) are broken down and converted into energy, heat is produced as a natural byproduct. Increasing the rate of thermogenic activity can cause your daily calorie expenditure to increase.
The mechanism of action for ingredients in this product is to stimulate adrenoreceptors in the sympathetic nervous system which directly influence heart rate, circulation, energy metabolism, oxygen delivery, mental alertness and more.
Caffeine is well-known for having and psychostimulant mechanisms of action in the body. It has long been noted for its ability to increase physical and mental energy and works by antagonizing adenosine receptors.
Citrus aurantium, otherwise known as Bitter Orange, has long been used as a substitute for the banned ephedrine component in many ephedra products. Synephrine behaves in similar ways to ephedrine such as activating alpha and beta adrenergic receptors involved in thermogenesis.
Like ephedrine, Bitter Orange can be dangerous depending on dosage and frequency of use. Adverse cardiac events have been reported with combinations of citrus aurantium with other stimulants, including caffeine.
Ephedra extract will also provide some benefits, depending on the species of plant and its alkaloid content in raw form. Extracts may contain a relatively low or moderate percentage of the original alkaloids.
Most of the claimed benefits of this product will be related to the caffeine and the other stimulants, which can pose some unpleasant side effects for those who may be sensitive to those ingredients.
One of the primary ingredients in Ultimate Burn is ephedra extract. However, the label does not specify which species of ephedra the extract comes from. Some species of ephedra are more potent than others.
It is also not clear what the alkaloid content of this extract is. While the manufacturer states that there are real ephedra alkaloids in the product, it does not contain any actual ephedrine.
One of the most potent forms of this plant is the species Ephedra sinica, otherwise known as Chinese Ma Huang. American ephedra species such as E. nevadensis and E. viridis contain little to no ephedrine alkaloids.
The primary reason for using ephedra supplements is due to the presence of ephedrine alkaloids. While this component is now illegal in diet pills sold in the USA, manufacturers can still sell forms of ephedra extract that do not contain this alkaloids.
However, it is a bit like drinking decaffeinated coffee and expect it to make you feel more awake and alert. Most of the fat burning potential of ephedra comes from ephedrine and without this component it will be less effective.
The alkaloids found in ephedra plants have long been used by Chinese practitioners and other cultures around the world, mainly in the treatment of breathing and lung conditions.
The components of the stems or even the leaves of the plant were often crushed or pounded and brewed into a tea for the relief of:
- Allergy symptoms
The alkaloids ephedrine and pseudoephedrine are adrenergic receptors agonists that influence the dilation of blood vessels and airways. They also are thermogenic agents that stimulate greater metabolism, energy levels and appetite suppression.
Supplements using ephedra extract without these alkaloids will attempt to replace them with other stimulant ingredients that can provide similar results.
Suggestions for Use
According to the manufacturers, it is recommended to take two capsules of Ultimate Burn, 1 – 3 times per day. It is recommended to drink lots of water with this product as well.
One serving size (two capsules), delivers approximately 1252 mg of the product. This dosage may be too high for people with a low tolerance to stimulants. If you have not taking stimulant-based diet pills before, start with a half-dose to gauge your tolerance.
Using this product three times a day is likely to cause side effects and reactions for new users, and especially those who are sensitive to caffeine.
Do not take this product late in the day as it could cause insomnia or disrupted sleep cycles. It is recommended to consume it with a meal if you experience nausea or other gastrointestinal side effects.
Exceeding the recommended serving size will not improve your results and may be hazardous to health. According to the manufacturer website, this product should not be used by individuals who are under the age of 18. It is also not for use by pregnant or nursing women.
Do not combine this product with caffeine or other stimulants as it may cause serious adverse health effects. If you are sensitivity to caffeine, you are advised to consult a health care professional before consuming this product.
Schwartz Labs states that you should seek professional assistance immediately if you take an accidental overdose of this product. Do not consume alcohol while using Ultimate Burn and keep this product out of the reach of children.
If you experience any serious side effects such as rapid heartbeat, dizziness, severe headache, shortness of breath or other symptoms, discontinue use and seek medical help.
